United Way Announces New Director of Community Impact

United Way of Indian River County announces Ms. Deana Shatley as the new Director of Community Impact. Ms. Shatley brings over 20 years of experience in designing and implementing programs to improve community conditions. Much of her experience lies in providing leadership and program expertise for women, girls, and children.

“We are delighted to have Deana join our team,” commented Meredith Egan, CEO of United Way of Indian River County. “The Community Impact process is our strongest force for creating positive, lasting change. We are excited to advance our role as convener with the guidance of Ms. Shatley.”

Ms. Shatley’s most recent position was with United Way of St. Lucie County. She managed the community investment process and oversaw resource development strategies to meet the need for funding. Deana was also highly effective during her tenure at Indian River Healthy Start Coalition in various roles.

As Director of Community Impact, Deana will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of innovative strategies to achieve the community change goals set forth in Health, Education, and Financial Stability while also developing effective partnerships to support those goals. In addition, she will oversee the community investment process and is responsible for research and data analysis to substantiate goal achievement.
