Community Leaders Join United Way Board to Advance Local Impact

VERO BEACH, August 29, 2025 – United Way of Indian River County (UWIRC) is proud to welcome five new leaders to its Board of Directors, joining a dedicated group who govern and guide United Way’s mission to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of the community. These new members bring a wealth of expertise in finance, law, business leadership, the arts, and nonprofit management.

Margo Lind, Senior Vice President, Director of Internal Audit Quality Assurance at Seacoast Bank, brings more than 20 years of experience in internal and external auditing, with deep expertise in financial management, risk assessment, and strategic planning. She previously served on the UWIRC Board from 2016 to 2022 and now also serves on the United Way Foundation board.

Joseph Semprevivo adds 35 years of leadership experience as a CEO in both business and nonprofit sectors, including his work as former CEO/President of Florida MENTOR and service with the Indian River County Tax Collector’s Office.

Raul A. Perez, Esq., is an associate attorney with Dill Evans and Rhodeback, specializing in probate, trust, and estate planning, advocating for families in complex legal and financial matters.

Ryan A. Kasten, Director of Music at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, is a classically trained musician who has performed nationally and brings creativity and leadership to community enrichment.

Marty Mercado, serving as Ex Officio, is the Executive Director of The Hope for Families Center, leading efforts to expand access to services that help families achieve long-term stability and self-sufficiency.
