35th Annual Citrus Golf Tournament to Benefit United Way of Indian River County

The United Way of Indian River County will be hosting its 35th Annual Citrus Golf Tournament on Monday, September 20, 2021.

The golf tournament will take place at Vero Beach Country Club, with teams teeing off at 1:30 PM. United Way is looking for groups of four, but individuals are also welcome to sign up and be placed with other players to form a team.

“This one tournament you don’t want to miss,” said Sydney Mihailoff, Relationship Development Manager. “We are inviting sponsors and teams of four to come out and enjoy a round at one of the oldest and most beautiful courses in our city while helping your neighbors at the same time.”

A team of four can sign up for $800, and individuals can sign up for $200. The all-inclusive package consists of box lunch, post-event awards, two mulligans, one door prize ticket, and participation in all course games, including string. Sponsorships range from $150 to $4,000.

“We are so grateful to our major sponsors, Bernard Egan Foundation, Rehmann, SouthState Bank, Schlitt Services, Northern Trust, and George E. Warren, for their continued support again this year,” said Meredith Egan, Chief Executive Officer. “Our sponsors are dedicated to helping our community, especially our neighbors who are struggling to make ends meet during this difficult time.”

United Way will be giving away prizes donated by local businesses. Any business that wants to get its name out into the community can donate items for the awards.

“We’re always looking for swag bag goodies and prizes to give away, so if you’re looking to get your name out there with the golfers, please consider donating or becoming an event sponsor,” said Sydney Mihailoff.

This tournament happens yearly in June but was postponed due to the pandemic. Vero Beach Country Club requires masks for non-vaccinated guests.

To sign up to participate or be a sponsor, register here or contact Sydney Mihailoff at (772) 567-8900, ext. 117 or [email protected].
