Doctors and Lawyers Face Off for a Cause!

Get ready for a night of fun, food, and friendly competition at the 14th annual Sawbones vs. Jawbones Charity Softball Game, presented by Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital! The event takes place on Friday, May 9th at Holman Stadium at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex and benefits United Way of Indian River County.

Bring the whole family out for an evening that kicks off at 6:00 PM with the United Way Little League Cup game, followed by the highly anticipated matchup between Indian River County’s doctors and lawyers at 7:15 PM.

“This event is a perfect mix of hometown fun and community spirit,” said Meredith Egan, CEO of United Way of Indian River County. “We’re proud to bring people together for a great cause and grateful for the local professionals who take the field each year to support our work.”

Returning player and team organizer Dr. Jeff Livingston of Vero ENT Associates added, “It’s not about who wins or loses—it’s about coming together as a community. We’ve got a great group of people who are passionate about giving back and having a good time doing it.”

Admission is free, and a $5 per car suggested donation goes directly to support United Way of Indian River County’s community programs. United Way funded partners will be on hand with fun activities for spectators and ProSport cheer teams will be bringing energy and enthusiasm to the evening. Concessions will be open for dinner and snacks, and families are encouraged to enjoy the evening under the stadium lights.

Last year’s event raised more than $8,000, thanks to the generosity of local sponsors and attendees. This year, organizers are hoping to raise even more.

Thank you to our generous sponsors: Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital, Vero ENT Associates, Florida Eye Institute, Vero Beach Mitsubishi, Beach Bum Bagel Café, Indian River Podiatry, Mind and Body of Vero, Stepanek’s Auto Sales and Service, Johnson and Johnson, and Intermedikal.

Join us Friday, May 9th, and cheer on your favorite team—Sawbones or Jawbones—as they take the field to help build a stronger, healthier Indian River County.
